Google Cloud Storage

Google Cloud Storage can sit on either side of a sync: as a source Data Sync reads objects from a bucket, and as a sink it writes them to one.

Source Sink

Overview

The connection addresses one bucket. Authentication is a service-account key stored as a secret, or the runner's own identity when it already has one in the project.

Before you connect

  1. Create the bucket, in the location you want the data to live.
  2. Grant access to the identity Data Sync uses: read access to the bucket's objects for a source, write access for a sink.

Connection fields

Set once, on the connection, in step 2 of the add-a-connection wizard.

FieldDefaultDescription
bucketRequired—The bucket to read from or write to.

Credentials

Step 3 asks for a project ID and Credentials JSON, both optional. Paste a service-account key as a Blunox-managed secret or reference it in your own secret store, or leave the key empty when the runner already has an identity in the project. See Connections.
